One of my weaknesses is collecting dishes and the other is not finishing projects that I start.I have been trying to put together a set of Franciscan dishes call Mesa. This week I received a Five piece place setting and a sugar and creamer I purchased off of EbayI have been collecting Franciscan dishes for a while. The other pattern that I have is the apple pattern it is one of the more popular patterns that Franciscan carried. The arrival of new dishes in the mail is always exciting to me I just love looking and putting sets of dishes together.
This brings me to the subject of a old Friend. She is This sweet little girl having a tea party with her dolls.she is the oldest unfinished project that I have.I think I started her when my daughter was in elementary school and now she is a elementary school teacher.I know this is ridiculous ,but I have set a goal to finish all of my UFO's and I thought I would start with the first. When I was looking around at some of the favorite bloggs I visited Juls at A Fairy Princess Dreams and Stitches, and I saw that she had completed this piece years ago probably when I started this one,and she said this was a project she was most proud of.This made me think how proud I would be if I finished this myself. So I have set a goal to finish it by the end of the year.I will be posting my progress.
(This is to my daughter Twila, who i know will be reading this and laughing,Yes I have that poor little girl out working on her again...)
I have also posted a picture of what the finished project looks like .I any one has a older UFO than this I would like to hear your story.
Hope every one is well, until next time .Brenda
